Dally M Awards

Last night’s Dally M’s made for a fun night out. Although I was dead tired from a double training session that didn’t finish until 5 yesterday afternoon, it was nice to take Bonnie to the black tie do.

Bonnie’s mum was nice enough to babysit for us and we were home by 11.30 anyway (pretty respectable I think).

I didn’t touch a drop last night although my tired eyes might have had you thinking otherwise – With a baby crawling round the house and finals here my bedtime keeps getting earlier.

I was honoured to be named in the team of the year and also to receive the Peoples choice award for the second year in a row. Even though Cameron Smith beat me out for the Dally M, the People’s Choice is definitely on par for me because it’s judged by all of the fans who love the game.

Even though the voting was close for the Dally M medal, I reckon I did a pretty good job of putting on the brave face when Smith’s name was announced. To be honest, I thought that I’d done my dash for the night with the awards I had already received.

Archie you little champion

Little Archie started to crawl this week which was a big thrill to Bonnie and me.

Given that we’re right at the business end of the season it was a really great thing to happen. Obviously family always comes first but as the season gets more and more serious, it’s great to have a reminder of [...]

Playing the Queenslanders

We had a tough game against the Broncs last week as they put an end to our 9 game winning streak. We were pretty much dominated in the forwards but the loss hasn’t dented our hopes for the finals at all.
Having Petero and Webcke run at me all afternoon took its toll but I’ve pulled [...]
