It’s been a while since the last post so here we are in the middle of Tri Nations. After two wins over the Kiwis and the weekend off we’re back in camp today at Coogee.
Playing in the tri nations is pretty enjoyable, particularly because games a being played close to home this year – handy when you’ve got a young family.
After a long season of club footy preparation for a test is a bit different. Ricky Stuart has been good in keeping the training enjoyable and giving the boys a bit more space when it comes to training. Considering that the Broncos and Storm guys only had a week off before coming into the team, it’s probably fair enough.
The papers have been talking about the tournament a lot and with less stuff on the national sporting calendar at the moment we’re still getting plenty of media attention. Still it’s great to be part of the team and to be representing the whole country. It’s different to club level footy but is still fun as well as pretty serious - not to mention a big privilege.
You might have noticed my mo’ lately as well. I’m supporting Movember – which is all about the awareness of men’s health issues. I don’t have much on the top lip but I’m giving it a go so hopefully it grows in a bit better over the next few weeks.
