Hey guys.
The Eels got up in our first trial game in Parkes (against the Sharks) but i wasn’t available to play.
Round 1 approaches but i’m still not fully fit.
My toe (that’s right!) is still causing me trouble. I’ve been in the gym pumping iron and doing some cardio but I’ve not really trained with the boys yet - so training is pretty boring.

Nevertheless its good to have my brother Ian back at Parra. The one occasion that we’ve been together in the gym this year was doing conditioning work and although neither of us said anything, we were definitely keeping an eye on each other. I’m guessing things will get more competitive between us soon.

Another great thing about Ian’s return is his daughter, Dakota. She’s about the same age as Archie so play dates have been scheduled.

Speaking of kids, Bonnie is pregnant again! 20 weeks and counting.
We don’t know the sex and we’re not going to find out - more fun that way.

Valentine’s Day was nice - i took her for some Mediterranean at a place called el farnician (don’t hold me to that spelling). Low key but really nice.

The latest in Archie’s life:
he turned 1 on Jan. 11.
he’s cutting teeth at the moment so he’s a bit crook.
I can’t play the drums ever because it wakes him up.

Archie’s word power -
he can now say the words Mum, Dog and Car (what more do you need?).

Back to training now. Hopefully, i’ll be ready for round 1.

It’s all been finalised so i can also announce that i’ve signed with the Eels until the end of the 2010 season!
 
Being a one club player is something that’s very important to me and with ongoing development of the club I’m absolutely stoked to be a part of the team until 2010 (at least).
