Me, cooking?

Last night was pretty stressful. Ex-league great Paul Osborne came over to do his ABC radio show ‘Cooking with Ozzie’ at my place.

Everything would’ve been easier if little Archie wasn’t so excited but once the Chilli prawn linguine was almost done, things got a bit easier.

I think I aced the test, except I did forget the lemon zest.

The jist is that the host (me) cooks and chats to Paul about life in and out of league. Eric Grothe Jr and Dean Widders have been on the show as well.

Not too sure when this one airs but I’ll let you know if I find out.

I was on NRL Deluxe last week as well (click through to ep8 from nrl.com with http://nrl.com/BigPondVideo/Multimedia/tabid/262/Default.aspx or

Bigpond TV with http://bigpondguide.com/genre.php?channel=2 ). I got all pumped up to get in there and speak right down the barrel of the camera, then got the jitters when the cameras started rolling. Not my best effort, pretty useless actually. Hopefully I’ll get another go soon and improve a bit.

Back to footy and the Eels have had a couple of losses on the trot now. After the Bundy test we were under the pump early against the bulldogs and our slow start meant that we weren’t good enough to take out a game that I reckon we should’ve won.

This weekend we’ve got the Roosters – games with them are always brutal contests.

In other news my brother should be back in the lineup this week after he head butted Chris Armit’s teeth when we played the Bulldogs. He was in hospital with a bad case of head puff for a bit, looking like Sloth from The Goonies (‘Hey You Guys!’) but he’s alright now.

The only other stuff coming up is an Origin shoot with Willie Mason and Andrew Ryan next week.

Archie’s had a good week, though, hanging out with some girls around the tea set (they’re the daughters of Luke Bert, Chad Robinson and Nathan Cayless).

Hi Nathan, I went to the watch u and the boys against the Titans last weekend, as much as it was to sit at the ground and see the team lose, it was a great pleasure to stay back after the game to meet your and get a photo with you and your autograph. I also had photo’s & autograph’s with other Eel players. It was the first Eels game I have ever been to. Mum and I are flying to Sydney in July to watch boys play at Parra Stadium I can’t wait. Well best of luck against the Roosters and for the remainder of 2007.
