I was disappointed after last night’s game, I thought we should have won by 20, but we dropped off and let the Broncos back into it. A win is a win, but I told the boys that if we do that against teams like Manly and the Bulldogs then we could be up against it.
Ian played very well last night and won the player’s player award. We don’t have the rivalry we used to, so I’ll say that it was great to see my bro play so well.
His form has left Hages with a welcome conundrum, whether to start Ian or Chad Robinson, though I don’t think it’s a problem Hages minds having!
On the flip side I thought big Tonie Carroll had a good game for the Broncos, especially in the second half when he got more of the ball, and used it well putting the likes of Sam Thaiday through gaps or through Haynesy.
I don’t know what the criticism is about. Haynesy’s eyes looked glassy and he was suffering; different guys take head knocks differently.
This week we have the Sea Eagles. It’s a huge game which will be fuelled more by the desire of Parra fans to give Jamie Lyon a hard time. I don’t think too many have forgiven Killer for the way he left the club, but he will laugh it off and focus on footy.
We have to focus on the whole team. Manly are good all over the park, and go about their business quietly and without the hype of other clubs, but their position on the ladder doesn’t lie. They are a top-notch footy team.
If we do beat them we can look forward to a four-point break over fourth, with the Tigers and Cowboys playing each other.
Personally, I look forward to renewing hostilities with Steven “The Beaver” Menzies, we’re both one-club players and have had some good battles. I would have liked to score as many tries as The Beaver though. Freak!
Thanks for all the well wishes relating to Buster. Bonnie, myself, Archie and Buster are doing great. So far he is a quiet baby (touch wood) who hasn’t given much trouble.
Archie hasn’t been bothered too much either. He usually just does his own thing, which is great, and it’s the same even though he has a little brother around.
About this blog

Bonnie gave birth to Buster Hindmarsh last night. They’re doing well, and Archie now has a little brother. It’s pretty busy right now, so I’ll write more next week.

Been a bit of a controversial week this one, and while I don’t care too much what other people think, people who know me know I meant the Knights played the type of game that suited the conditions, not a boring one.
I can’t believe the uproar about it. Anyway that’s in the past now, [...]

I never thought a dead rubber could be so exciting – but it was. The way we won the game, finishing over the top of the Maroons at the death was satisfying to say the least, and it answered the critics, especially some of those in the media who were quick to write obituaries for [...]
